Program Description
Origin is proud to have earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product label for several of our cost-advantaged platform materials, making Origin a preferred supplier of biobased materials to the United States government. Only products that meet the USDA BioPreferred Program's strict standards for biobased content are allowed to display this label.
By using materials produced by Origin, you may be eligible to display the USDA Certified Biobased Product label on your product, along with its percentage of biobased content.
Biobased content is the portion of a product that comes from a renewable source, such as plant, animal, marine, or forestry feedstocks. Utilizing renewable, biobased materials displaces the need for non-renewable petroleum-based chemicals. Whether it’s clothing, textiles, plastics, packaging, car parts, tires, carpeting, or other products, consider telling your sustainability story with the USDA Certified Biobased Product label.
