Product Description

PTA (purified terephthalic acid) is a fundamental feedstock for countless applications including PET polyester packaging, textiles, clothing, plastics, car parts, tires, carpeting, toys, and more. Made from CMF, Origin PTA enables the production of carbon-negative products using sustainable wood residues instead of petroleum.

Product Benefits

  • Cost-competitive with fossil-based PTA

  • Sustainable, drop-in ready material, and physically and chemically identical to fossil-based PTA

  • Precursor to Origin PET plastic, which is recyclable within the existing infrastructure and supports a circular economy vision

  • Expected to provide stable pricing largely de-coupled from the petroleum supply chain, which is exposed to more volatility than supply chains based on sustainable wood residues

  • Up to 100% bio-content
